Things are Happening Now!

Tonight, November 27, the Hartley Gallery in my hometown of Herrin, Illinois will feature 22 of my original paintings for the town’s Believe in the Magic of Christmas Magic show. Two of my paintings of Herrin include one of the town square as it appeared in the 1940’s and 50’s entitled: "Park Avenue of Christmas Past" and one of the train station entitled: “1909 IC Depot” as shown here in a photo of me in the gallery.  

Other original paintings on display include Christmas and winter scenes.

Original paintings and prints are for sale in the Hartley Gallery, 100 S. Park Avenue, Herrin, IL. The public is welcome to view the exhibit and the beautiful window displays tonight from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The exhibition will be on display until January 29th. The Hartley Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 am until 5:pm and on Saturday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.

This has been an exciting year because I have won several awards and been accepted into 15 national and international juried exhibitions.

 A few recent awards include: 

• First Place in the Pastel Society of the Southwest 38th National Juried Exhibition, Dallas, TX for my painting “Feathers and Pottery.”

• First Place in Religious Art Show 2020 at the Icehouse Gallery in Mayfield, KY for my painting “In His Arms.”
